Absolute Green Arrow #4 (DC Comics, $5.99, Pichetshote/Albuquerque): the confirmed potential first of Solomon Grundy in the Absolute DC continuity. Dinah's hunt for the Green Arrow Killer lands them on the Island, and the solicit spells out an Absolute take on a classic character. New-continuity firsts on the Absolute line have been the whole story of that imprint, and this is the version that matters here. The 1:25 by Tirso Cons is the incentive to note.

Absolute Flash #18 (DC Comics, $5.99, Lemire/Robles): Hunter Zolomon comes to Central City as a DEO Agent, the confirmed potential first for the Absolute version. Anyone who knows where Zolomon usually ends up knows why this one gets flagged. Lemire on the book is the added draw.

Angel #1 (Dynamite Entertainment, Thompson/Giacomino): confirmed potential first of Leviathan, the new big bad for Angel and Buffy, per the solicit. Kelly Thompson writing the extra-sized 48-page premiere is the read. Angel #1 sits in the shared 1:50 tier that tops the docket this week, with a Jenny Frison foil virgin at that ratio.

Archie #1 (Oni Press, $8.99, Ben H. Winters): the confirmed debut of Archie under Oni Press, kicking off the countdown to the character's 85th anniversary. Ben H. Winters writing Riverdale is the pitch here, and the variant slate runs deep, with a 1:50 Elsa Charretier at the top tier and a Stuart Immonen black and white at 5:10. Oni carrying the Archie license out of the gate is the story shops will want to weigh on the order.

Ps Artbooks Magazine Hell Rider #1 (PS Artbooks, $22.99): a facsimile reprint of the 1971 Hell-Rider #1, reproducing the character's origin and first appearance. Brick Reese, the Q-47 test subject on a jetpack Harley, scripted by Gary Friedrich with Ross Andru and Mike Esposito on art. The facsimile format means this is the vintage magazine reproduced, not new content, but it puts the origin in print at cover price.

Ps Artbooks Magazine Hell Rider #2 (PS Artbooks, $22.99): the second facsimile in the Hell Rider run, continuing the 1970s origin material. Same Friedrich/Andru/Esposito core, with Rich Buckler and Syd Shores added on the interior credits. Facsimile reprint, so it is the original magazine reproduced rather than new work. Worth a look for anyone chasing the full Hell Rider set alongside #1.

Godzilla Conquers The Multiverse #2 (Marvel Comics, $4.99, Gerry Duggan): per the solicit, the potential first of Knull's Kill Krew, clashing with Doctor Doom's forces as Godzilla unleashes devastation across realities. A Miles Morales time jump tries to stop a chain of deaths reaching Emma Frost, Kang, and Doom himself. Duggan on a Godzilla crossover with a new team debut is the angle.

Predator Vs. The Planet Of The Apes #2 (Marvel Comics, $4.99, Greg Pak): Arch is stranded in the Forbidden Zone, forced into an uneasy alliance with General Ursus and the apes against a loose Yautja warrior. Pak writing the crossover is the draw. The row carries no specific first-appearance signal, so treat this as a High Priority creator-and-property play rather than a key.

The New Titans #38 (DC Comics, $3.99, Brombal/Basri): confirmed potential first of Static as a member of the New Titans. The Dakota City spark joins the crew and the team heads to the Amazon for its first mission. Static in a new team context is what's new here.

Tmnt: Journeys #13 (IDW Publishing, $12.99, Peter Laird): the solicit confirms the setup for the impending death of Splinter, hanging over the Turtles as they find new purpose. A 1:10 foil variant by Dooney is the incentive. Splinter's death being teased in-solicit is the beat to watch across the arc.

Bug Wars The Coming Of The Wardoom #1 (Image Comics, $7.99, Aaron/Asrar): Aaron and Asrar return to the backyard war epic, with the solicit confirming a multi-faction setup and the first appearances of the factions involved. Roach knights, squirrel armies, corporate exterminators closing in. The 1:25 Christian Ward is the incentive. Aaron on this concept is the reason to look.

Redcoat #19 (Image Comics, $3.99, Johns/Hitch): confirmed film-adaptation development, with Ghost Machine announcing a partnership with Atlas Entertainment for a Redcoat feature and Geoff Johns attached. Simon Pure and Einstein end up on a path they can't return from. No release date or casting announced, so this is a watch on the property, not a locked event.

M1 Monster Racing League #3 (rumor-based) (Image Comics, $3.99, Windom/Lee): the current chatter is an unverified rumor of a future animated series announcement, with no official confirmation. What's real is Jae Lee writing and drawing a near-future Tokyo racing series, pitched as Akira meets Stranger Things, with a 1:25 black and white Jae Lee incentive. Treat the animation talk as speculation; the Lee art is the concrete draw.

Mike Hoffmans Tigress Magazine #1 (rumor-based) (Massive Publishing, $8.95, Mike Hoffman): the debut speculation is driven by unverified online rumors of multiple pre-release printings. Classic SF adventure art and story by Mike Hoffman, a feral feline lead on a lost planet. No verified anchor on the printing chatter, so flag it as rumor and decide for yourself.
