FOC Drop: July 27, 2026 — DC Ties Dynamite at 67

618 SKUs across 290 unique books, and the volume race is tight at the top. DC Comics leads the count with 67 titles, Dynamite Entertainment matches it at 67, Image Comics runs 66, and Marvel Comics sits at 65. Marvel, DC, and Image still headline the breakdown below, but DC edges Marvel on raw volume this week. The slate carries 78 ratio incentives and 96 variants, with Dynamite carrying the most ratio covers and the week's highest single-title cover count.

Angel #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) carries the week's highest variant count at 22 covers, more than any other single release on the docket. The extra-sized 48-page premiere from Kelly Thompson and Giulia Giacomino kicks off the Buffyverse relaunch that followed July's Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1.

The incentive structure is where the week concentrates. Dynamite carries 25 ratio covers, the most of any publisher, ahead of Image Comics at 16 and Oni Press at 11. The steepest single incentive belongs to Warbird #1 (Bad Idea), whose ladder climbs through 1:100 and 1:250 to a 1:500 top tier, and Angel #1 runs its own ladder up to 1:250. Nine books carry a 1:50 tier, Archie #1 (Oni Press) among them.

Marvel's slate leans on its Star Wars adaptation pipeline and X-line chapters this week, with no ratio incentives across the entire docket. Three new #1s land in the count. The volume splits between licensed-property launches and ongoing mutant storylines, with Amazing Spider-Man building toward its #1000 milestone as its structural anchor.

Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett #1 (Marvel). This launches Marvel's comic adaptation of the Disney+ series, a seven-issue run from Rodney Barnes and Will Sliney. The issue marks the comic debut of Garsa Fwip, Dokk Strassi, and Mok Shaiz's majordomo as Boba Fett claims control of Tatooine.

Amazing Spider-Man #35 (Marvel). The last issue before Amazing Spider-Man #1000, positioning it as the setup beat for the milestone. Damage Control's latest target puts Spidey at odds with Ghost-Spider.

Tomb Of Apocalypse #1 (Marvel, $4.99, Ashley Allen). A new mutant launch with Apocalypse turning his attention to a new undertaking from his exile in space. Jubilee and Wolverine are drawn in for their abilities.

DC's lone ratio slot goes to the Absolute line this week, while the launch count comes from the core side of the docket: five new #1s land, Harley Quinn In Paradise #1 and Renaissance Of Raven #1 among them. The volume distributes across the core superhero line and the Absolute Universe, with Superman Unlimited continuing its Kingdom of Zod storyline as the flagship ongoing beat.

Absolute Green Arrow #4 (DC, $5.99, Pornsak Pichetshote/Rafael Albuquerque). This is DC's only ratio book of the week and the Absolute line's featured chapter. Dinah's search for the Green Arrow Killer leads to the Island and an Absolute take on Solomon Grundy.

Superman Unlimited #16 (DC, $5.99, Dan Slott/Rachael Stott). Kingdom of Zod: Part Three, with Zod's Kryptonite Kingdom expanding as his powers return. Tomorrow Man, Steel, Natasha Irons, and Lana Lang work to develop a cure for the spreading Kryptonite infection.

New Titans #38 (DC, $3.99, Tate Brombal/Sami Basri). Static joins the New Titans here, adding the Dakota City hero to the roster. The team heads to the Amazon for its first big mission with the new lineup.

DC's only ratio this week: 1:25 Absolute Green Arrow #4.

Image carries 16 ratio incentives this week, second only to Dynamite across the whole docket. The slate leans on creator-owned launches and Top Cow-universe continuations, with Sean Murphy's Last Driver #1 landing as a new ongoing alongside a fresh Darkness arc. Two new #1s land in the count, and the ratio structure concentrates on the launch and the line's higher-profile ongoings.

Last Driver #1 (Image, $3.99, Sean Gordon Murphy) carries 7 covers. Sean Gordon Murphy writes and draws this new ongoing set in a near-future America where the robotic GRID made cars illegal. An outlaw named Clutch gets behind the wheel in a race to save his granddaughter that turns into a rebellion.

Darkness #7 (Image, $3.99, Marc Silvestri/Raymond Gay). A new story arc begins here, with the Angelus amassing forces and Sonatine's plans coming to fruition against Jackie Estacado. Marc Silvestri writes the new volume opening.

Redcoat #19 (Image, $3.99, Geoff Johns/Bryan Hitch). Immortal British soldier Simon Pure and physicist Albert Einstein are set on a path with an enormous cost following last issue's events. Geoff Johns writes with Bryan Hitch on art.

Keenspot Entertainment: 30 titles. Notable for Mark Spears Graveyard Shift #1 ($5.99, Mark Spears), a new supernatural action-horror series from the creator of Mark Spears Monsters. The dead clock in at midnight from an abandoned funeral home called The Office to battle the horrors that emerge after dark.

DSTLRY: 5 SKUs this week, all of them covers of A Mischief Of Magpies #2 ($8.99, Simon Spurrier/Matias Bergara), the distinctive pick outside the volume top three. Mar answers the call of the Wandering City to eliminate the Moray King, diving deeper into the machine-metropolis at a high cost to his real-world life.
