FOC Drop: August 10, 2026 — 567 SKUs, 79 Ratios, Dynamite Leads

Dynamite Entertainment drives the volume this week with 119 titles, ahead of DC's 88 and Marvel's 64. The slate runs 567 SKUs across 200 unique books, with variant and ratio structure doing most of the heavy lifting: 144 variants and 79 ratio covers spread across the docket. Dynamite's Buffyverse relaunch anchors that structure, with three separate first issues each carrying 22 covers. The editorial primacy stays Marvel/DC/Dynamite, but the volume lead sits with Dynamite this week and the ratio count follows it there.

Angel #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) carries the week's highest variant count at 22 covers, matched only by Dynamite's own Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1 and Firefly #1. The extra-sized 48-page premiere from Kelly Thompson and Giulia Giacomino kicks off the second chapter of Dynamite's Buffyverse relaunch. The solicit confirms the first appearance of Angel and Buffy's new big bad, Leviathan.

79 ratio covers this week, led by Dynamite at 39 of them. On the steepest end of the docket, Image's Crowbound #1 carries a 1:1000 incentive, the single steepest ratio on the entire slate.

Marvel's slate splits between event tie-ins and a licensed crossover launch this week, with no ratio structure across the 64 titles. The line's summer spectacle threads through both Punisher and the ongoing Doomquest miniseries, while a 50th-anniversary Muppets crossover lands as the week's marquee new #1. Four launches total, with the variant volume concentrated on the Muppets debut.

Muppets Take The Marvel Universe #1 (Marvel Comics). This licensed crossover marks the 50th anniversary of The Muppet Show and is the week's most-covered Marvel launch at 9 covers. Chip Zdarsky writes as Rowlf gets kidnapped by Mojo and Kermit, Miss Piggy, Spider-Man, Black Panther and Emma Frost mount a rescue.

Doomquest #4 (Marvel Comics). The Victor Von Doom miniseries continues here with 7 covers. Doom's consciousness lands inside his own childhood self, giving him a chance to change course before ever meeting Reed Richards, and to stay in Latveria with a young woman named Valeria.

DC's slate runs three line relaunches alongside its Bad Seeds Bat-event this week. Joshua Williamson and Hayden Sherman relaunch the Legion of Super-Heroes, Darcy Van Poelgeest and Niko Henrichon open a new Doom Patrol, and Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo restart Teen Titans with 7 covers and a 1:25 of its own. All three launches sit among DC's four ratio covers, and the Batman line continues its Bad Seeds event at the top of the count.

Legion Of Super-Heroes #1 (DC Comics, $4.99, Joshua Williamson/Hayden Sherman). This launch opens a new future set a thousand years after the Last Son of Krypton's rocket crashed, and carries 9 covers with a 1:25 ratio. Superheroes are outlawed, enforcers called the Persuaders keep the United Planets in check, and Brainiac 1 of 5 sets out to solve the murder of R.J. Brande.

Doom Patrol #1 (DC Comics, $4.99, Darcy Van Poelgeest/Niko Henrichon). DC's second launch of the week carries 7 covers and a 1:25 ratio. The team adopts a heroes-for-hire model to stave off financial ruin, taking a simple missing-cat case that proves far from simple, while a ghost of the team's past prepares to cross into their world.

Batman #13 (DC Comics, $5.99, Matt Fraction/Matteo Scalera). This issue anchors the Bad Seeds event with 9 covers and a 1:25 ratio. Vandal Savage hides a chemical weapon designed to kill Poison Ivy inside GCPD headquarters, leaving Batman to work an impenetrable fortress with no power and no comms.

Three of the publisher's five launches are Buffyverse first issues, each carrying 22 covers: Angel #1, Buffy The Vampire Slayer #1, and Firefly #1. The 39 ratio covers that make Dynamite the week's ratio-count leader are concentrated across these launches, topped by a 1:250 Angel #1 and a 1:250 Buffy #1. Ben 10 #5 rounds out the licensed slate with a blind-bag variant program.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer #1 (Dynamite Entertainment, $4.99, Kelly Thompson/Stephen Byrne). The Buffyverse relaunch opens here with 22 covers and features the comics debut of a beloved fan-favorite character. Thompson and Byrne pick up after Buffy gives her life to save the world, with the people who loved her unable to live with that loss.

Firefly #1 (Dynamite Entertainment, $4.99, Mark Russell/Lorenzo Re). This launch adds a third 22-cover premiere to Dynamite's slate. Mal Reynolds is desperate for cash to keep Serenity flying while Simon and Kaylee pose as a married couple to pull off a heist that goes sideways when an old caper resurfaces.

Ben 10 #5 (Dynamite Entertainment, $4.99, Steven T. Seagle/Robert Carey). The licensed ongoing continues with 11 covers and a premium mystery blind-bag variant program. Ben faces crazed clown Zombozo with Grandpa Max's life on the line, alongside the comics debut of Grey Matter.

Dynamite's three highest ratios this week: 1:250 Angel #1, 1:250 Buffy The Vampire Slayer #1, 1:100 Angel #1.

Image Comics — 50 titles. Led by Crowbound #1 from Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen, carrying 8 covers and the docket's single steepest ratio at 1:1000. Rose comes face-to-face with the Scarecrow Queen, who offers one last chance to save her daughter Ava in exchange for her soul.

Boom! Studios — 35 titles. Anchored by Hellraiser: Resurrections - The Deep Gospel #1, the first of five one-shots setting up a new Hellraiser ongoing this winter, with 7 covers and a 1:25 ratio. The Female Cenobite rejects the Engineer's plans for her remaking and is cast down into the Nidus.

IDW Publishing — 28 titles. Killer Influences #3 carries the slate as the conclusion of the IDW Crime miniseries. Melvin hunts Kylie as his next victim, and she draws on her knowledge of serial killers to stop him while weighing whether to sacrifice the following she has built.

Udon Entertainment — 5 titles, and the most distinctive launch outside the volume top-3 is Mega Man Gear Masters #1 (Udon Entertainment, $4.99, Tavis Maiden/Ryan Jampole). It's Udon's first Mega Man miniseries starring the classic Blue Bomber, with Dr. Light upgrading Mega Man using the prototype Double Gear system that Dr. Wily wants back.

144 variants across 567 titles puts variant concentration near a quarter of the slate this week, with Dynamite carrying 79 of those covers.
