Russell Dauterman cover.
X-Men: Red (2022) #1 launches Al Ewing's second volume of the series, relocating a core group of mutants to Arakko (formerly Mars) following the events of the Krakoan era. Storm, Magneto, Sunspot, Cable, Abigail Brand, Thunderbird, and Vulcan form the foundation of this new status quo, with Ewing building a politically charged story around mutant sovereignty on a planetary scale. It is one of the stronger first issues of Marvel's Destiny of X publishing wave, establishing Arakko as a setting with its own rules, power structures, and stakes entirely separate from what was happening on Krakoa itself.
Stefano Caselli handles the interior art, bringing clean, expressive linework to a cast-heavy debut that juggles a lot of world-building without losing narrative momentum. The main cover is by Russell Dauterman, whose work on this series became one of the most discussed cover runs of 2022. The Cover A Dauterman image was later reused for a second printing variant, making this first-print copy the original presentation of that artwork in its standard release form.
This is a raw first-print copy of Cover A, ungraded and in the condition shown. A solid addition for readers building out Ewing's X-Men run or collectors working through Dauterman's cover catalog.
