Clone Commander Gree served under Jedi Master Yoda during the Clone Wars, leading the 41st Elite Corps on some of the conflict's most treacherous missions. This 6-inch Black Series figure captures Gree in his distinctive Phase II armor, rendered with the kind of paint detail and sculpt precision that set the Black Series apart from earlier 3.75-inch offerings. The figure was released in 2017 as a Toys R Us exclusive, making it one of the more targeted releases in that wave of Black Series product.
Gree comes loaded with four accessories: a DC-15 blaster, a DC-15 blaster rifle, macrobinoculars, and a removable antenna, giving collectors solid display options straight out of the box. The accessories are sized and detailed to the 6-inch scale, and the removable antenna on the helmet is a nice bit of accuracy to the character's command role. As an exclusive release in the Black Series line, the figure was not part of the standard retail assortment, which shaped how and where collectors were able to find it at launch.
The Black Series 6-inch line launched in 2013 and became Hasbro's flagship collector format for Star Wars, bringing movie and series-accurate sculpts and articulation to adult-focused packaging. Clone Wars-era characters like Gree represent some of the most requested figures in the line, and the exclusive release format put this one outside the typical big-box retail run. The box is a standard Black Series window box presentation with character art and biographical copy on the back.
