Doctor Doom rules his domain in the Wastelands following the Day the Villains Won, but even as tyrant of his region a greater destiny calls to him. When a mysterious power blocks his oversight of a particular village, what he discovers will have ripple effects across the entire Wastelanders saga. Written by Torunn Grønbekk with art by Julius Ohta and colors by Bryan Valenza.

This issue features the second appearance of Sofia Strange, the daughter of Doctor Strange and Clea. Sofia first appeared in Epic Anthology #1 (2004) as part of Marvel's short-lived Epic Comics imprint before the line was cancelled. This Wastelanders version exists on Earth-21923 but shares the same origin concept. The first appearance designation belongs to Epic Anthology #1; Wastelanders: Doom #1 is the character's second published appearance and her first in the modern era.
