Reference to the destruction of the DC Universe. Nic Klein cover.
Thor Vol. 6 #2 is the second chapter of 'The Devourer King,' the opening arc of Donny Cates and Nic Klein's run on the character that began in 2020. Titled 'Lightning and Hunger,' the issue escalates the cosmic stakes established in the debut, centering on Thor's confrontation with Galactus alongside Balder the Brave and Volstagg as the Black Winter threat looms across the universe. Cates brought a pulpy, high-concept energy to Thor from the first issue, and this chapter delivers on the promise of that setup with the kinetic, heavy-metal artwork Klein became known for on the run.
This is the 6th printing of the issue, reflecting sustained reader interest in the Cates/Klein run across its original release period. The story arc was later collected in trade paperback, but the individual issues remain the way to own the run in its original pamphlet form. The 6th printing carries the same content as the first, with interior art by Nic Klein and script by Donny Cates.
