Wetworks Series 1 Dane, McFarlane Toys '95, Card Detached but Included

Dane is one of the core figures from McFarlane Toys' 1995 Wetworks Series 1 line, based on the WildStorm comic title co-created by Whilce Portacio. The Wetworks team are soldiers bonded with a symbiotic alien gold substance that grants them supernatural armor, and Dane, the unit's leader, was a natural centerpiece for the figure line. McFarlane launched Wetworks under its Ultra-Action Figures branding, a label intended to signal a step above standard articulation and accessory counts, and Dane delivers on that promise with a generous loadout straight from the book.

The figure comes loaded with gear: a removable combat jacket, removable vest, ammo belt, belt, flip-up head gear, headset, giant machete, and a gun, plus a bio card. The accessory count was substantial for a mid-nineties carded figure and reflects the era when McFarlane was aggressively differentiating its lines on depth of detail and pack-in content. The figure is out of production, and complete examples with all accessories present are notably harder to find than the figure alone.

This example has the bubble fully separated from the card; both pieces are included, with the figure and accessories seated in the original clamshell and the detached card back accompanying them, Clip & Collect bio card intact. For a figure from 1995, bubble integrity varies widely across surviving stock. The bubble still wears its original Longs Drugs $12.99 price sticker from its first retail life.
