Premiere issue of Tiger Division's first solo series at Marvel. Creees HyunSung Lee regular cover.
Tiger Division #1 launches Marvel's first solo series for South Korea's premier superhero team, a five-issue limited run written by Emily Kim with art and cover by Creees Lee. The regular Creees Lee cover is the standard first-printing edition of the debut issue, featuring the team in Lee's clean, character-forward style. The series centers on Tiger Division, a Marvel team built around South Korean heroes operating on their own turf rather than as Avengers adjuncts.
The cast includes White Fox (Ami Han), Luna Snow (Seol Hee), and Mr. Enigma alongside other team members. Issue one drops them into a ferry rescue gone wrong, then pivots to a hunt for a missing Psylot Gem that ends with the team walking into a trap, a tight setup for the remaining four issues. Emily Kim's script keeps the focus on the characters' relationships and individual voices, while Lee's linework brings a specificity to the Korean setting that the characters' prior appearances in ensemble books rarely had space for.
This is the team's first dedicated title at Marvel, making issue one the entry point for the complete run. The Jan 2023 cover date reflects the standard lead on direct-market comics; the issue went on sale November 2022.
