1st appearance of Taegukgi. Valerio Giangiordano cover.
Taskmaster #3 is the third chapter of Jed MacKay's five-issue limited series 'The Rubicon Trigger,' published by Marvel Comics in 2021. The issue plunges Tony Masters into South Korea's national superhuman espionage apparatus, pitting him against Ami Han and the formidable White Fox as he navigates shifting loyalties and escalating threats. Alessandro Vitti's interior art keeps the book grounded in the kinetic, espionage-thriller register that defines the run throughout.
This issue carries a significant key: the first appearance of Taegukgi, South Korea's national superhero and the country's answer to Captain America. Taegukgi's introduction also received a second-printing retailer-exclusive variant tied to the debut. The regular Cover A features Valerio Giangiordano's dynamic composition depicting Taskmaster, and is the first printing of the standard edition.
