Star Wars Saga Series #37 Han Solo, Endor Raid, Hasbro '02

Figure #37 from the 2002 Star Wars Saga Series Phase I line, depicting Han Solo during the Endor bunker raid in Return of the Jedi — the sequence where he and the Rebel commando team attempt to plant proton grenades on the Death Star II shield generator. A Collection 1 figure with a spring-loaded right arm quick-draw action feature. The action feature is considered one of the more disruptive in the line; it significantly compromises the sculpt and limits meaningful posing. The figure also has a wide splayed action stance that makes unassisted standing a challenge. Accessories include a DL-44 blaster and two proton grenades designed with suction cups intended to attach to surfaces, though the suctioning is weak in practice. A removable vest is technically present but is extremely difficult to remove without risking damage to the figure — best left on. An all-new sculpt, though generally considered a missed opportunity given the character and scene.
