A Target exclusive released in October 2005 to commemorate the final Star Wars film, the Duel at Mustafar Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of two paired exclusive figures built around a genuinely inspired concept: a paint wash applied over the base figure to simulate the amber and orange glow of Mustafar's lava reflecting off the characters during the climactic duel. The effect is subtle but effective, and when the two Duel at Mustafar figures are displayed together — Obi-Wan alongside the matching Anakin/Vader exclusive — the visual impact is strong. The base sculpt is the III-1 Obi-Wan Kenobi figure, with the lightsaber molded to the right hand and the "Slashing Attack!" leg-squeeze action feature carried over. The concept is widely considered a better idea than its execution, but as a display piece on a Mustafar base, it holds up well.
