Ivan and Francesco Lacitignola cover.
Runes #1 is the opening issue of the 2021 Source Point Press series written by Ivan Lacitignola and illustrated by Francesco Lacitignola, published under the series subtitle Son of the Black Wolves. Source Point Press has built a reputation for genre fiction that sits outside the superhero mainstream, and Runes fits squarely in that tradition: a fantasy title from an independent publisher making room for creator-driven storytelling.
As the first issue of a new series, this copy represents the start of a complete run opportunity. It shipped July 28, 2021, at a cover price of $3.99, and a collected trade paperback edition followed later that year, confirming the series moved through to completion at the publisher level.
