Francesco Mattina Cover A.
Project Superpowers: Chapter Three #0 is Dynamite Entertainment's 2018 relaunch issue for the golden-age superhero revival line, written by Rob Williams with interior art by Sergio Davila. The series brings back golden-age public-domain characters including Death-Defying 'Devil (Bart Hill), Scarab (Amon Khadul), and Miss Masque (Diana Adams) under Dynamite's Project Superpowers umbrella, which has served as the publisher's flagship superhero line since its initial launch. Issue #0 functions as a launch primer for Chapter Three, the third volume of the ongoing saga.
Cover A features Francesco Mattina's artwork, and Mattina's covers for Dynamite's superhero titles developed a strong following during this period for their painterly, high-contrast style. The cover price of $0.10 positions this as a promotional entry point designed to get the series into readers' hands at the start of the new chapter. A separate Ultra-Limited Virgin Variant Cover by Mattina was also solicited alongside this issue, distinguishing this Cover A as the standard retail edition.
