Marvel Legends Obsidian Surfer with Mjolnir, Walgreens Exclusive '21

The Obsidian Surfer is the dark-timeline take on one of Marvel's most visually distinctive characters. In the King Thanos storyline, a Silver Surfer from the distant future arrives to fight the Mad Titan wielding Mjolnir, his chrome blackened by the long war. Hasbro's 2021 Walgreens exclusive captures that version, and the box back names it Obsidian Surfer outright, with the bio calling out the journey from the distant future to combat King Thanos.

The loadout backs the story: Mjolnir with its rune-etched head, interchangeable fists and open hands to wield it, purple power-cosmic energy effects, and the surfboard. The figure shares tooling with the chrome Silver Surfer with Mjolnir release, but the gunmetal-black deco and white eyes flip the character from herald to harbinger, and the purple effects belong to this colorway alone.

As a Walgreens-only release it sold through quickly, and the Obsidian variant has stayed the scarcer sighting of the two Mjolnir Surfers on the secondary market. This example is unopened in the original Silver Surfer-logo window box; see photos for box condition.
