Joe Manganiello's The Crypt of Perpetual Darkness Quest Pack is a 2025 expansion for the Avalon Hill HeroQuest Game System, designed in collaboration with actor and lifelong HeroQuest devotee Joe Manganiello. The pack delivers 10 original quests set against a dark, dungeon-crawling backdrop that fits squarely within HeroQuest's fantasy adventure framework. Manganiello's involvement is more than a celebrity stamp: he has been publicly identified as a genuine HeroQuest player since childhood, and the quests reflect that familiarity with the game's tone and structure.

The box ships with a metallic black dragon miniature, 8 black dice, 20 foil-embellished game cards, 2 cardboard tile sheets, and a pad of character sheets. The black dragon miniature is the standout physical component: the metallic finish sets it apart from the standard HeroQuest color palette and makes it a display piece as well as a game piece. The foil card treatment carries through the premium production feel. This quest pack was originally tied to the 2021 Hasbro Pulse crowdfunding campaign before receiving a general retail release in 2025 at $34.99 MSRP.
