Star Wars 30th Anniversary Order 66 #1 Palpatine & Thire, Hasbro '06

The Order 66 two-pack series was one of the more thoughtful exclusives Hasbro delivered during the 30th Anniversary Collection run, pairing combatants from one of the saga's defining moments rather than simply double-dipping on individual carded releases. Pack #1 of 6 teams Emperor Palpatine with Commander Thire, the clone officer present in Revenge of the Sith who received his orders directly from Palpatine to eliminate the Jedi at the Coruscant Temple. It's a pairing with real narrative weight, and Hasbro leaned into that with the accessory complement: Palpatine ships with a soft-goods robe, an interchangeable right hand fitted with a lightsaber, and two Force lightning effects, while Thire comes with a removable helmet, removable pauldron, two DC-17 blaster pistols, and a DC-15 blaster rifle.

The 30th Anniversary Collection, released in 2007 to mark three decades since the original film, represented a high point for Hasbro's 3.75-inch line in terms of articulation and accessory depth relative to retail price. The Order 66 sub-series was sold exclusively through Target and was numbered one through six, making complete-set assembly a deliberate chase across store visits. Pack #1 is the anchor of that set and typically the one completists need to find in solid condition to finish the run.
