1st full appearance of the Starface Man. Martin Simmonds regular cover.
The Department of Truth #2 continues James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds's conspiracy-horror series from Image Comics, deepening Cole Turner's recruitment into a shadow organization whose mission is to suppress dangerous beliefs before they reshape reality. Where the debut issue established the premise and the paranoid atmosphere, this second chapter pushes the story further into the unsettling territory the series built its reputation on, with the Star-Faced Man making his first full appearance in the series and cementing himself as one of the more memorable figures in Tynion IV's recent work.
Martin Simmonds handles both covers and interiors, and his textured, collage-inflected painted style is a significant part of what makes the series feel unlike anything else on the Image slate. The Cover A regular edition features Simmonds's own art, and the printed cover price is $3.99. This is the standard first printing of the regular Cover A edition, not an incentive variant.
