Star Wars Unleashed Boba Fett Target Exclusive, Hasbro '06

The Star Wars Unleashed line gave Hasbro a different avenue entirely: no articulation to engineer, no child-safety roundness, just sculptors going as hard as they could on a single dramatic pose. The Boba Fett figure that came out of this line is one of the most referenced pieces in the whole run, depicting the bounty hunter mid-escape from the Sarlacc Pit with his jetpack firing and blaster in hand. It is the kind of pose that communicates exactly what collectors responded to when the Unleashed line launched in 2002: cinematic, oversized presence on a shelf, with the level of paint and sculpt detail that basic 3.75-inch figures simply could not deliver.

This version is the 2006 Target Exclusive repack, distinguished from the original 2003 carded release by its plastic tube/drum-style packaging, which replaced the original's blister card. That packaging shift makes it a visually distinct display piece even in the box, and the Target Exclusive designation is tied to the UPC on this specific item. The sculpture itself includes the Sarlacc Pit base, the jetpack, and the blaster, giving the figure full environmental context rather than a plain stand.

The Unleashed line ran through the mid-2000s and the traditional statue-scale releases had wound down by 2007, making this 2006 repack one of the later retail offerings in the format. Boba Fett is among the most requested characters in the line across collector forums, and the Target Exclusive tube packaging is less common in the aftermarket than the original carded version, making it a meaningful variant for completists working through the Unleashed catalog.
