Star Wars ROTS Clone Trooper, Firing Jet Backpack, Hasbro '05

From the 2005 Revenge of the Sith Deluxe assortment, this Clone Trooper depicts specially trained Republic sky troopers equipped for aerial reconnaissance and assault. The defining feature is the winged jet backpack: press the trigger and the wings spring open; the backpack also fires a missile projectile. The figure itself is a Phase II Clone Trooper in clean white armor with a well-proportioned sculpt and solid articulation for the era, including ball-jointed knees and ankles that let you pose it in dynamic aerial or ground stances. The Deluxe format gave Hasbro room to deliver a more substantial accessory than most basic line figures received that year, and this sculpt proved popular enough that Hasbro repainted and reused it multiple times across subsequent waves and Battle Packs through the end of the decade.
