Star Wars Saga Series #35 Orn Free Taa, Rutian Twi'lek Senator, Hasbro '02

Figure #35 from the 2002 Star Wars Saga Series Phase I line, depicting Orn Free Taa — the corpulent Rutian Twi'lek Senator who represented Ryloth in the Galactic Senate and played a key supporting role in the Military Creation Act debate in Attack of the Clones. An all-new sculpt and the character's first and only 3.75" action figure release. The sculpt itself is the primary draw: an exceptionally ornate and layered costume with strong likeness captures the character convincingly at small scale. Despite 9 technical points of articulation, most are inhibited by the figure's bulk and robes — this is primarily a display piece, and a good one. The standout accessory is a hovercam drone with a clear display stand that suspends it in "hovering" position, referencing the Senate chamber surveillance droids from the film. Two paint variants exist: one with bright blue skin and white paint on eyes and teeth, and one with a tan wash over the blue and no white detail on the face. The figure was a well-known pegwarmer on original release, so sealed samples are common.
