Star Wars Saga Series #33 Endor Rebel Soldier, Return of the Jedi, Hasbro '02

Figure #33 from the 2002 Star Wars Saga Series Phase I line, depicting a Rebel commando from the Battle of Endor strike team in Return of the Jedi. An all-new sculpt released as a running change — two distinct versions share this number, differing only by head sculpt. Version 1 carries the original head; Version 2 is a retool with an all-new portrait. Both versions are otherwise identical in accessories and articulation. The figure is impressively layered for the era: removable camouflage jacket, removable soft backpack, removable helmet, blaster rifle with blast effect, and a functioning holster. The practical limitation is that the removable jacket, while a welcome feature, restricts upper body articulation significantly — it functions more like a straightjacket than a flexible overlay, limiting meaningful posing. The lower body is pre-posed in an action lean and offers no articulation below the waist. An excellent display piece despite the posing constraints, and a popular army builder on release.
