Star Wars Saga Collection General Grievous, Demise of Grievous, Target Exclusive, Hasbro '06

A Target exclusive depicting the climactic moment of General Grievous's defeat in Revenge of the Sith — shot through the chest by Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau, his organic innards igniting. A retool and repaint of the 2005 ROTS Sneak Preview Grievous sculpt, with two scene-specific additions that define the release: a removable flames attachment that pegs directly into his eye sockets (recreating the moment fire shot from his eyes), and a flames attachment that wraps around his torso. The torso flames are loose and can be repositioned but are not truly removable — a collector limitation to be aware of, as it locks the figure into his death scene and prevents display in other contexts. The paint job is significantly more movie-accurate than the Sneak Preview original. Packaged in a premium clamshell at $12.99 MSRP, the figure also carried the 2006 Ultimate Galactic Hunt gold foil sticker promotion. Note: this release does not include lightsabers — accessories are a droid blaster and electropole only.
