The Death Star Gunner is the turbolaser battery operator seen in both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, distinguished by his large distinctive black helmet designed to protect against dangerous flashback from the weapons systems. The sculpt is well-proportioned with strong detail work on the suit's surface, and includes both a removable helmet and removable black chest armor plate — allowing two distinct configurations. The blaster fits into a working left-side holster. One notable collector talking point: per a Lucasfilm directive at the time, the revealed face under the removable helmet is a clone trooper portrait, a policy that sparked considerable debate in the collecting community.
