Weapon H #1 launches the solo ongoing series for Clayton Cortez, a Weapon X test subject who was spliced with the DNA of both the Hulk and Wolverine to create something the program called Weapon H. Written by Greg Pak with interior art by Cory Smith, the issue kicks off the 'AWOL' story arc and drops Cortez into a world where Roxxon Corporation and forces far beyond the Weapon X program are hunting him. The setup pulls from Pak's years of work across both Hulk and X-Men adjacent titles, and the series wears that dual heritage openly in its premise and its action.
Issue #1 shipped with an extensive variant lineup, including ratio incentive covers, store exclusive editions from shops including Sanctum Sanctorum Comics and Oddities, Frankie's Comics, Unknown Comics, and KRS Comics, as well as named cover variants by Clayton Crain, Skan, Gustavo Duarte, John Tyler Christopher, Dale Keown, and Adam Kubert. The cover on this copy is shown in the photos.
This is a first-print copy of the issue in its variant edition, published by Marvel Comics in March 2018 with a $4.99 cover price.
