Star Wars The Clone Wars #12 Super Battle Droid, Hasbro '08

Figure #12 from the 2008 Star Wars The Clone Wars animated line, depicting the B2 Super Battle Droid in its distinctly exaggerated animated form — a rotund, heavily armored upper body atop slender legs that gives it an immediately recognizable "gourd on stilts" silhouette quite different from the realistic-style counterparts. An all-new sculpt built specifically for the animated line. The two arm-mounted missile cannons are the headline feature, with attachment holes on both arms allowing one cannon per arm, each firing a projectile. Crucially, both cannons are fully removable — collectors who prefer a clean display can remove them entirely, and the figure holds up well without them. Articulation is concentrated in the upper body with 12 points across 7 areas; the legs are pre-posed and offer only swivel hips, but the droid stands stably in its default pose. One of the better paint jobs in the early TCW run, with realistic metallic weathering that contrasts nicely with the animated sculpt style. This sculpt was reused and repainted multiple times across the Clone Wars line.
