The first Cinema Scenes release and an instant hot commodity, the Death Star Escape 3-pack was a 1997 Toys R Us exclusive that had to be reordered to meet collector demand. The set recreates the daring rescue of Princess Leia from A New Hope — Han Solo and Luke Skywalker are presented in all-new stormtrooper disguise sculpts with removable helmets, while Chewbacca is rendered with arms bound by binders, posing as their prisoner. All three figures are displayed against a scene-specific cardboard backdrop mounted in a wide display base, creating an instant diorama. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker each include a blaster; Chewbacca's binders are integral to the sculpt.
