Star Wars TVC Dark Trooper, The Mandalorian, Hasbro '22

A Deluxe release from the 2022 Star Wars Vintage Collection, depicting the Dark Trooper as seen in The Mandalorian Season 2 — the hulking Imperial combat droids that nearly overpowered Din Djarin and were ultimately stopped by a single Jedi. Originally appearing in the 1995 Dark Forces video game, their live-action debut in The Mandalorian brought them into the Disney canon. An all-new sculpt with outstanding shiny black paint that closely matches the on-screen appearance, accented with silver details and translucent red eyes. A light port in the back of the head allows the eyes to glow red when held up to a light source — a fun if unconventional feature. The blaster can be stowed on a notch on the right hip in the same style as First Order stormtroopers. Nine accessories include an impressive 5-part docking station (two side walls, back wall, and two arm restraints), a blaster, two interchangeable hands (open grip and fisted), and two jet boot flame attachments. The docking station arm restraints are noted as tricky to install. 28 points of fully premium modern articulation. Later repacked without the docking station as VC271 in standard mainline packaging.
