Something is Killing the Children #22, BOOM! '22

KEY ISSUE: Something is Killing the Children #22 features the first mention of the House of Cutter and the first appearances of Abbie and Cutter. Erica Slaughter arrives in Tribulation, New Mexico, on the trail of what appears to be a supernatural serial killer — but the real threat in this issue comes from outside the shadows. The House of Slaughter has dispatched Abbie, an assassin from the rival UK-based House of Cutter, to track and eliminate Erica as a rogue agent. Meanwhile, the only living witness to the latest killings is a traumatized teenager named Gabi who refuses to cooperate. The second issue of the series' second major arc and a critical expansion of the Slaughterverse mythology that laid the groundwork for the House of Cutter spinoff and broader Order of St. George lore.
