Darkchylde #0 is a special issue from creator Randy Queen, released through Image Comics following the conclusion of the original five-issue series. The book centers on Ariel Chylde, an 18-year-old cursed with the ability to shed her skin and transform into the creatures from her many recurring nightmares — and whenever she transforms, the nightmare creature is set loose on the world. Equal parts horror and dark fantasy, Darkchylde was one of the breakout titles of the late '90s independent comics scene, notable for attracting an unusually large female readership. Queen serves as sole writer and artist throughout, with Jason Gorder on inks. This is the Dynamic Forces 1998 Tour Edition, one of only 1,500 specially limited copies, signed by creator Randy Queen and accompanied by a Dynamic Forces Certificate of Authenticity.
