The story brings a culminating chapter to a run that reshaped Eddie Brock's world, with Dylan Brock stepping into the role of Venom and Eddie gaining new symbiote abilities, including omnipresence and hive-mind control over the symbiote species. It is a genuine story-event issue: the kind of conclusion that changes the status quo of the title character going forward.

This copy is the Hero Initiative exclusive variant, featuring cover art by Humberto Ramos and Ryan Stegman. The Hero Initiative is a nonprofit organization supporting comic book creators in medical and financial need, and variant covers produced under its banner are sold to benefit that mission rather than through standard retail channels. The Ramos and Stegman collaboration on the cover makes this variant a fitting sendoff for Stegman, whose interior work defined the visual identity of the Cates run from its first issue in 2018.

Writers Donny Cates and Phillip Kennedy Johnson share the writing credit on this issue, with Cates having built the entire arc that leads to this conclusion. For collectors focused on the Cates-era Venom run, this Hero Initiative variant is the key exclusive cover tied to the run's final chapter.

Series Title: Venom, Vol. 4

Issue: #35

Cover: AD (Hero Initiative Exclusive Variant)

Cover Artist: Humberto Ramos, Ryan Stegman

Writer: Donny Cates, Phillip Kennedy Johnson

Publisher: Marvel Comics

Publication Year: 2021

Printing: 1st Print

Variant Type: Hero Initiative Exclusive

Key Issue: Dylan Brock becomes Venom; 200th issue (legacy numbering)

*PHOTO DISCLAIMER: All photos are of the actual items, unless marked as pre-order.
