The issue carries the first appearance of the Grendel Symbiote, the first appearance of Rex Strickland, and the first cameo team appearance of the Symbiote Super-Soldiers, making it the foundational key of the entire Cates era.

This copy is the KRS Comics / Unknown Comics convention exclusive virgin variant, a Mike Mayhew homage signed on the art 'Mayhew after McFarlane,' a store-exclusive printing distinguished by its clean, logo-free cover presentation.
