That story beat reframes Thor's role in the Marvel universe in a way that carries through the entire Cates run, making this debut issue the foundational read for everything that follows. The Frankie's Comics variant features cover art by InHyuk Lee, whose painted style and compositional intensity have made his retailer exclusive covers a consistent draw for variant collectors.

Retailer exclusive variants for issue #1 launches are produced in limited quantities allocated directly through the ordering retailer, and Frankie's Comics has a track record of pairing their exclusives with covers by artists whose work connects with the modern collector market.
